Laura is a Talent Partner at Khosla Ventures, where she partners with founders to build exceptional teams across the portfolio. She is particularly drawn to the challenge of identifying transformative talent for highly technical companies tackling ambitious, complex problems.
Prior to KV, Laura spent four years at Pear VC, where she helped build the firm’s talent function from the ground up and partnered closely with founders on early team building, recruiting strategy, and critical hires. She also created Pear Prime, a program focused on identifying emerging technical talent and connecting them with high-growth startups.
Earlier in her career, Laura held recruiting leadership roles at Brex and Afterpay and spent several years at Uber, where she focused on engineering leadership and technical recruiting across Eats, Maps, Marketplace, and AI/ML.
Having worked with companies from their earliest stages through periods of rapid scale, Laura has seen firsthand the outsized impact that the right people can have on a company’s trajectory. She believes talent is one of the greatest sources of leverage in building an enduring company.
